The people we work with are looking for sustainable ideas to help themselves get on their feet. This can happen through education but also with supporting some people in a community to set up their own business which will put money in their pocket, long-term. At Wellspring in Kampala there are a group of mothers who have started making paper bracelets to raise some money themselves. This could also be developed in several of the other communities that Wellspring work with. It could be that you are interested in micro-finance and have some great ideas to help people think through and structure their set up. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you. You have valuable skills that you can use to help lift people out of financial difficulty.
