As a PSHE teacher, you’ll be used to the issues that teenagers face today. Although these might be different for Ugandan students, there’s a way you can help share your skills and expertise.
In Tororo, there are several young, teenage mums (14+), who are engaging with education so there would be lots of potential to work with them and younger girls on issues of self-esteem and also skills sets that will be useful in generating an income.
Although a challenge, the teachers who work with these students would appreciate your support as you serve them in order to get the best for these young mums. Get in touch if this sounds like something that’s up your street!
